Use of Sports Funding Grant

The PE and Sports Grant allocation received for the year 2016 - 2017 amounts to £9,250.  This has been allocated as follows:

£7,700      A firm has been contracted to provide a specialist P.E. teacher, who                  is also providing coaching to school staff.

£1,148      Subscription to Worthing School Sports Association (WSSA)

£   402      For additional training of staff

The PE curriculum is developing further; staff are becoming more skilled in leading a variety of PE lessons; and access to tournaments and competitions continues to be provided.

 

The PE and Sports Grant allocation received for the academic year 2015-2016 amounted to £9,225 and was used to fund an Apprentice, the Assistant to Sports Co-ordinator, and Sports Partnership membership; all of these enabled the children to enjoy a varied P.E. curriculum, learn new skills and participate in tournaments and competitions.

 

The PE and Sports Grant allocation received in for the academic year 2014-2015 amounted to £9,155.

This was spent as follows:

Apprentice for 1 academic year    £ 4,800

Assistant to Sports Co-ordinator  £ 3,797

Sports Partnership membership    £   996

In addition, new and replacement equipment was purchased for use at break times, in P.E. lessons and for clubs.

As a result of the above expenditure the children are enjoying a more varied P.E. curriculum, learning new skills and participating in a greater provision of locality tournaments and competitions.
