Term dates 2017-2018
Please note that on five days within each academic year's term dates the school will be closed for pupils, but teachers will be required to undertake professional development or other approved activities (INSET days).

Term Dates 2017 - 2018

Autumn Term 2017 starts on Tuesday 5th September for pupils, and ends on Wednesday 20th December.

Half Term : Monday 23rd - Friday 27th October.

The school will be closed on Monday 4th September, Friday 22nd September and Friday 20th October for pupils (INSET Days)

Spring Term 2018 starts on Thursday 4th January for pupils, and ends on Thursday 29th March.

Half Term : Monday 12th - Friday 16th February inclusive.

Summer Term 2018 starts on Monday 16th April and ends on Friday 20th July for pupils.

Half Term : Monday 28th May - Friday 1st June inclusive.

The school will be closed on Monday 23rd and Tuesday 24th July for pupils (INSET Days)

Holidays in Term Time / Leave of Absence from Learning: Following the Education (Pupil Registration) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2013 which made amendments to the Education (Pupil Registration) (England) Regulations 2006, Headteachers may not grant any leave of absence during term time unless there are exceptional circumstances. The amendment states:"Leave of absence shall not be granted unless:(a) an application has been made in advance to the proprietor by a parent with whom the child normally resides; and (b) the proprietor, or a person authorised by the proprietor in accordance with paragraph (1) considers that leave of absence should be granted due to the exceptional circumstances relating to that application."
